Vacancy Description
Title
Social Worker (Referral and Assessment team x 3)
Service Area/School
Childrens Services (excl Schools) - Children's Social Care & Safeguarding
About Us
Bexley is an outer London Borough with the best of both worlds, located between the hustle and bustle of London and the Garden of England, Kent. Within the borough we have award winning parks, open spaces and listed heritage sites.
The Council, its staff and partners, were delighted in March 2023, when Ofsted judged the overall effectiveness of children’s social care services to be ‘Outstanding’ for the second time running since 2018. We were especially pleased that our investment in frontline practitioners and managers has continued to be recognised. We have been working hard to create an environment where social workers can do the work they came into the profession to do - to support and help families to stay together where this is in children’s best interests and it is safe enough for this to happen.
About the Role
We are currently seeking compassionate and skilled Permanent Child and Family Social Workers to join our dedicated Referral and Assessment Teams.
We are committed to ensuring that children and families receive the appropriate support they need to thrive. It is expected that the Social Worker is committed to supporting children, young people and their families to make positive change based on their needs.
The team is part of a 5 team Referral and Assessment service who works on a 5 week duty rota. As this is a fast paced team, the ability to learn fast and have transferrable skills will be essential if you have not done this before. The team is very supportive and works very well together, sharing learning and accountability with the rest of the service.
If you're committed to making a meaningful impact, this is the role for you!
Please refer to the Job Description attached for more information.
