The Housing Grants and Private Sector Leasing teams are responsible for the administration of Disabled Facilities Grants within the homes of eligible Bexley residents, and for the maintenance of Bexley’s leased properties, temporary accommodation and hostels. You will be joining a team focused on making real, life changing improvements in the lives of some of Bexleys most vulnerable residents.

About the Role

 

As the Trainee Building Surveyor, you will be involved in maintenance related inspections of Bexleys leased and temporary accommodation properties,  as well as providing support for  the Grants Team in relation to both major and minor disabled adaptations within residential property.

Candidate Profile

 

You will have experience in using document management systems, as well as the Microsoft office suite of programs.

 

You will have an interest in construction and the built environment.

 

You will have an understanding of disabled adaptations and how they can positively impact a client within their home.

 

You will be willing to undertake further education (HNC – Building Surveying) as required to grow within the role.
